What is EcoPass Tajikistan? ▾

EcoPass is a free digital eco-loyalty app for travellers exploring Tajikistan's nature regions. Register, get a QR pass, and earn discounts and rewards at partner guesthouses, cafes, and tours — while supporting local, sustainable businesses.

Is it really free? ▾

Yes. EcoPass is completely free for travellers: registration, your QR pass, EcoPoints and partner rewards. There are no paid passes for travellers.

How do I register? ▾

Visit ecopasstajikistan.com/app/, enter your name and phone number, and you'll receive your digital QR pass instantly — takes under a minute, no card or payment required.

Which locations are covered? ▾

Our pilot covers 4 destinations: Pamir, Varzob, Hisor Fortress and Penjikent. We're actively growing our partner network in these regions.

How do EcoPoints work? ▾

You earn +10 EcoPoints for each verified visit, confirmed by a partner via your QR code or pass ID. Partner rewards are being confirmed during the pilot and will be announced as partners confirm them. EcoPoints have no cash value.

How do I become a partner? ▾

Fill out our partner application form (link on the Partners section of this site) or message us directly on WhatsApp. We'll get back to you to activate your listing.

What does it cost to be a partner? ▾

EcoPass Basic (business profile and listing) is free. The first 3–5 Founding Partners receive EcoPass Pro free for the first month in exchange for testing, feedback and permission to measure visits and check-ins. Planned Pro pricing after the pilot is from $15/month, but this is not final and is subject to validation with pilot partners. We do not currently process online payments.

Do I need any special equipment? ▾

No. Your staff simply enters the traveller's pass code into the EcoPass Partner panel on any phone or computer — no dedicated hardware needed.

What is the Explore Map, and does it show real partners? ▾

The Explore Map (on the website and in the app's Explore tab) shows the four pilot locations — Pamir, Varzob, Hisor Fortress and Penjikent — plus a few more places to explore. Markers are approximate, so check access and opening times before you travel. A business is shown as a verified partner only after it has joined the pilot, agreed to be listed and been checked by the EcoPass team. We do not list any business as a partner before that.

Are bookings, payments, analytics and the EcoPass Shop available? ▾

Partly. A pilot request service is available manually: you can send a Shop interest request or a booking request on WhatsApp, and our team handles it by hand. These are not orders or confirmed bookings, and EcoPass takes no payment. Integrated online booking, online payment, automated partner analytics and automated Shop checkout are not yet live.

Is EcoPass currently generating revenue? ▾

No. We're a pre-revenue pilot. Pro pricing is still being validated with Founding Partners, and no payments are processed yet. We're onboarding our first partners and travellers — see our Impact Dashboard for real, live numbers.
